FAQs

  • During your spray tanning session, it’s best to wear minimal clothing to ensure the tanning solution is applied evenly and without any obstruction. Here are some guidelines on what to wear:

    • For Women: Most clients choose to wear a swimsuit (bikini, thong, or strapless) or go topless, depending on their comfort level. Wearing minimal clothing helps ensure the spray tan is applied to all areas of your body evenly. If you’re uncomfortable with wearing less clothing, you can wear a loose-fitting strapless dress or underwear, but be mindful that tan lines may occur.

    • For Men: We recommend wearing swim trunks or boxers during your spray tanning session. Like women, minimal clothing helps ensure an even application without any lines.

    • Dark, Loose Clothing Afterward: After your spray tanning session, wear loose, dark clothing to avoid rubbing or staining your tan. Tight clothing can cause streaking, and lighter fabrics may stain from the tanning solution.

Ultimately, the choice of clothing is up to you, but the less you wear, the more even and thorough the tan will be. If you’re unsure about what to wear, don’t hesitate to ask your technician for guidance. We want you to feel as comfortable as possible during your session!

    • Under 18 Years of Age: Please wear a bathing suit.

  • When a spray tan starts to wear off, the goal is to fade it evenly and extend its longevity. Here’s what you can do:

    1. Hydrate & Moisturize Daily

    • Apply a tan-extending lotion or a regular moisturizer to keep the skin hydrated and prevent patchiness.

    • Look for lotions with a small amount of DHA (like gradual tanners) to refresh the color.

    2. Exfoliate Strategically

    • When the tan starts to look uneven, use a gentle exfoliator or an exfoliating mitt to buff away fading areas.

    • Avoid harsh scrubs until you’re ready to remove the tan completely.

    3. Touch-Up with Self-Tanner

    • Use a self-tanning mousse, lotion, or drops to refresh the color as it fades.

    • Apply lightly with a tanning mitt and blend well to avoid streaks.

    • Focus on areas that fade first (hands, face, feet, and inner arms).

    4. Avoid Drying Ingredients

    • Stay away from harsh soaps, retinol, and AHAs/BHAs, as they can strip the tan faster.

    • Pat dry after showers instead of rubbing.

    5. Extend the Life of the Tan

    • Use sulfate-free body washes and lukewarm water for showers.

    • Avoid long baths, pools, or excessive sweating to prevent uneven fading.Item description

  • Yes, most people with sensitive skin can get a spray tan. However, if you have any concerns, please let us know before your appointment so we can use a solution that’s suitable for your skin type. I recommend doing a patch test 24 hours prior to your tan if you’re worried about reactions.

  • No! A well-applied spray tan should never look orange. I use high-quality, custom-blended tanning solutions that are designed to give you a natural-looking tan. I also customize the shade to suit your skin tone, so you get a beautiful, realistic glow.

  • While there is no known harm in getting a spray tan while pregnant, we always recommend consulting with your healthcare provider before booking a session, especially if you have any concerns.

  • Most clients achieve their desired color in a single session. However, depending on your skin tone and how deep you want your tan, you may want to schedule additional sessions for a darker or more intense result.

  • I will assess your skin tone and personal preferences to recommend the perfect shade for your desired look. Whether you prefer a light, natural glow or a deeper, bronzed tan, we tailor the solution to your needs for a flawless result.

  • It’s best to wait at least 6-8 hours before applying makeup to allow your tan to fully develop. After this time, feel free to apply makeup as usual, but avoid heavy face creams or oils that could break down your tan.

  • To avoid streaks or uneven fading, it's important to follow the aftercare instructions carefully. Moisturize daily, avoid exfoliating, and wear loose clothing for the first few hours after your session. If you follow the recommended aftercare, your tan should fade evenly.

  • Yes, spray tanning is a perfect choice before a big event! For optimal results, we recommend scheduling your spray tan 1 to 2 days before your event to allow the color to fully develop and settle. You’ll look radiant and glowing for the occasion!

  • If you feel that your tan is uneven, contact me immediately. I provide touch-up services to ensure you’re happy with your results!

  • Yes, you should continue using sunscreen to protect your skin from UV damage. Spray tanning only provides cosmetic color and does not offer sun protection, so it’s important to apply sunscreen when you’re out in the sun.

  • Green underarms are usually caused by a reaction between the spray tan solution and deodorant or antiperspirant residue. Many deodorants contain aluminum or other ingredients that can react with the DHA (the active ingredient in tanning solution), causing a greenish tint.

    How to prevent it:

    • Make sure to thoroughly cleanse your underarms before your appointment.

    • Avoid using deodorant or antiperspirant the day of your tan.

    • If you forget, gently exfoliate the area before your session to remove any residue.

It’s not permanent and typically fades quickly, but proper prep helps prevent it altogether!
